Taylor Lake Christian Church (TLCC) has a very active program of Christian Fellowship activities in addition to the normally scheduled church services and functions. These activities are led and coordinated by the team of Jacki Oliver, Hugh Baker, Valerie Coyle and Reverend Madella Williams. One of the activities is an outreach to the residents of The Parsons House, an assisted living facility located in Pasadena, Texas. TLCC leads a Bible Study at The Parson House each week, and once a month conducts a Worship Service including Communion.
The Senior Adult (Keen Ager) program also includes forums and presentations in a Christian setting to prepare members and friends for the life of seniors: preparations for retirement; special financial issues facing seniors; relationships with children and other seniors; medical issues; and preparation for and dealing with the loss of loved ones and living with the loss.
There are also inspirational and recreational activities that TLCC provides for its Keen Agers, all those fun loving adults over the age of 50 years young! This past year we have, thanks to Harris County Precinct 2, traveled to Huntsville, played at the Lone Star Pinball Museum in Hockley, and toured Old Town Spring. The Keen Agers have also enjoyed local Astros games at Minute Maid Park, and the Hometown Opry in Pasadena, TX, which showcases local talent presenting classic country music.
